As the old saying goes, “Hindsight is 20-20”. If I could have a do-over in the early stages of my business, I would have totally hired a qualified expert to help me out.
But, you simply don’t know what you don’t know, right?
A common question I’m asked time and time again by members in my FREE Facebook Group (eComm Profit Community) colleagues, potential clients, etc. is…
What is the difference between a business coach and a consultant?
Unfortunately, there’s a misunderstanding when it comes to defining who they are and what they do – especially in the online space. Many use the term synonymously, which causes even more confusion among eComm business owners when deciding which one they actually need.
In a nutshell, a business coach works with an individual to equip them with tools to solve a specific problem. They address issues such as fear, mindset, a lack of self-confidence, etc. – from a personal and professional perspective.
On the other hand, a business consultant is an expert in a particular area who actually solves the problem for an organization. They find and apply solutions for problems directly related to your business.
A business COACH is an expert who…
-
-
- Assesses an individual’s strengths and weaknesses
- Serves as a sounding board to help an individual think through the noise of building a company
- Guides development of particular skill set(s)
- Helps individuals use personal and professional skills to better their business
- Develops business growth strategies and creates tasks to help individuals accomplish them
- Typically works on a long-term basis
-
A business CONSULTANT is an expert who…
-
-
- Possesses a level of expertise in specific areas (marketing, finance, growth strategies, product launching, automation, systems development, etc.)
- Conducts research to uncover issues stunting company growth
- Analyzes data to gain insight and understanding of the client’s business
- Provides strategies and solutions for the problems they’ve discovered
- Works with clients and their teams to ensure recommendations are executed appropriately
- Typically works on a short-term basis (i.e. 90 days, 6 months, etc.)
-
It’s unfortunate that most eComm business owners and entrepreneurs work to grow and scale their businesses without the help and support from either one of these experts. It’s often because they don’t recognize the availability and value of these experienced professionals.
How do you know if you need a business coach or a consultant?
At the end of the day, it truly depends on where you are in your business.
Either way, I can’t emphasize this enough…
Hiring a business coach or consultant is critically important to the long-term success of your business.
In order for you to grow and scale your business to that next level, it’s time to “call for backup”.
I get it.
The expense of hiring this type of support can feel overwhelmingly expensive – which is why a lot of business owners choose to meander down this entrepreneurial road solo.
I can assure you of this reality – hiring a professional expert to help you will actually save you time and money in the long run. Ask me how I know.
If you’re an established, product-based eComm business owner camped out on a profit plateau and confused about why you can’t gain any momentum to move your business to that next level of profitability, the experienced team at Digital Dawn wants to help you.
Maybe it’s your digital marketing strategy that’s holding you prisoner to limited growth. If you want different results, you need a different approach. Nothing changes if nothing changes, right?
What about your website? Does it need a facelift? Is it user friendly? If you’re not sure, let’s look at your conversion rates. This will help you determine if your site is a browser magnet or a buyer machine. Then we can talk about options that will blow your mind… and your bottom line.
Perhaps you’re not even thinking about your conversion rate right now because you’re just trying to figure out how to get traffic “through the door” or come back for more of what they’ve already purchased. Nothing says, “Yoo-hoo, over here… we’ve got what you want!” like eye-candy dressed up like a juicy paid ad strategy.
You do not have to figure this out on your own. We’ve got your back.
Schedule your FREE discovery call with me (owner and CEO of Digital Dawn) ASAP so we can chat about ways to anchor your business on a path toward explosive growth and scalability. But please don’t think about it too long, as I have limited availability.
Let’s figure this out before your competition beats you to the punch.
